I’m Hannah. You might recognise me from my cycling adventures with Sarah. When I’m not navigating with printouts of google maps and pretending to know Swedish, I live in Birmingham with Ian.
We both like spending time outside, growing things and cooking. Living in a city, this means that last year our living room housed two courgette plants, lots of herbs and 6 chili plants in buckets of varying sizes. We decided to both expand our growing space and get back our living room and signed up for an allotment.
We’re both enthusiastic beginners with no gardening experience beyond our window sills. We’ve taken on a “full plot” which converts to some silly measure like 14 rods and 32 wingspans of the small bush finch. In more common terms, it’s about 188 city centre window sills.
What could possibly go wrong?
